#1. The Science of Rockets
Since the 1950's NASA has been launching satellites and probes into space. The satellites and probes went through three stages. The first stage is atlas uses both liquid-fuel and solid-fuel engines. The second stage is centaul which falls off into the atmosphere. The third stage is the payload.
#2. The Space Program
NASA began in 1958 and started the project to get a man into Earth's orbit. NASA's greatest mission was Apollo 1 which was sent to the moon. In 1990 and 1992 NASA's Galileo probe sent new information about the surface of the moon.
#3. Exploring Space Today
New technology planned for (ISS) includes a small robot called a "personal satellite assistant". The robot helps around the satellite and helps the astronauts fix the satellites. The robot has a videophone so that astronauts can communicate with one another.
#4. Using Space Science on Earth
According to NASA 1% the U.S. budget is on the space program. Meny people say that the mony should be spent on different things like medial research or education. To counter these arguments, NASA explains how much NASA has lerned about space and the infermation that the galexy has pervided for us.
